Matty Beniers has two siblings. He has one elder brother, Bobby, and one sister Gianna.
His brother Bobby plays hockey at Williams College and has been a role model for his younger brother in his entire hockey career.
Furthermore, Matty shares that his dad and brother had played a significant role in introducing him to the world of hockey, and they were the ones who got him started down that path.
Matty was only four years old when his dad started coaching him. Matty was always inspired by his brother Bobby and wanted to be like him when he grew up.
And at the age of 16, Matty made his debut with the United States Hockey League (USHL). Both his dad as well as brother were very proud when Matty earned the spot.
In addition to his career, he scored his first career hat-trick on February 26, 2021, against Arizona State. Eventually, he was named the Big Third Star of the Week ending March 1.
Later on March 5, in a game against Minnesota, he recorded his first career four-point game. Matty recorded one goal and three assists in the game when once again he was named the Big Third Star of the Week for the week ending March 9.
