Peterson and his wife, Brianna Pugh, a former University of Oregon soccer player, have a daughter, born in 2016. They call Lake Charles, Louisiana home. Mallory Pugh, an Olympian, and World Cup champion for the United States women’s national soccer team, is his sister-in-law.
He is credited with setting up Mallory Pugh, his sister-in-law, and Dansby Swanson, a former teammate. Since late 2017, they’ve been dating.
