Mikie Sherrill is married to Jason Hedberg, a former classmate, and US Naval Academy graduate who served as a US Navy intelligence officer. Since 2010, the couple has lived in Montclair with their four children.
However, the pair is currently living a happy and healthy life together. They are incredibly understanding and caring to one another, and both of their love lives are excellent examples to others.
In 2020, Sherrill had a tougher reelection battle, defeating Republican Rosemary Becchi with 53% of the vote.
Joe Biden won the district with 53 percent of the vote, making him the first Democratic presidential candidate to accomplish so since the district’s current structure in 1984.
Sherrill announced her candidacy for the United States House of Representatives in the 11th congressional district of New Jersey on May 11, 2017.
Even after it was made slightly more Democratic on paper by shifting it deeper into Essex County, including a chunk of Montclair around Sherrill’s home, the district had long been regarded as a Republican bastion.
