Ndamukong Suh is a product of an inter-continental union. His mother, Bernadette, is a Jamaican while his father, Michael Suh, is from Cameroon. Mrs. Suh, a graduate of Southern Oregon University, works as an elementary school teacher. Her husband, on the other hand, is a mechanical engineer and owns his own heating and cooling company in Portland. Ndamukong had planned to work in his father’s company before he discovered that he had a very bright future in professional football.
The football player seems to have gotten his athletic skills from his father who was a semi-professional soccer player in Germany, while also playing for his country’s national team and working as a machinic.
Suh’s parents met in Portland, Oregon, when his dad was admitted to a Portland trade school. They later tied the knot there in 1982.
The footballer has four sisters, including his older sister and manager, Odette Lennon Ngum Suh, who played college soccer at Mississippi State University and currently plays for the Cameroon women’s national football team as a midfielder.
