Born on December 10, 1964, in New York City, Bobby Flay’s journey into the world of food is an interesting one. At the age of 17, he was offered a job at a restaurant by a man named Jo Allen. Not particularly interested in his studies at the time, Flay took the opportunity and started working under Allen.
Impressing his boss with his skills and dedication, Flay was fortunate enough to have his culinary school tuition paid for by Allen. He attended the French Culinary Institute and upon returning from France, he was never the same. His time in France honed his skills, making him one of the best chefs in the industry.
